Day 6

The only thing I don't like about exercising everyday is that now that I have a son, I can't consistently exercise at the same time. Ideally I'd like to exercise in the morning. I'm just too tired though (maybe later on I'll start), so I wait for Logan's nap. Today he took a really late nap, so I wasn't able to exercise until almost 2 hours later than I have been each day this week. I almost punked out, but I can't do that. That would be so lame only 6 days into it lol.

Today I did "Start It Up!" again. I feel like I am doing my lunges and squats a little lower, and I noticed at the end of the work out, that I am able to stretch farther than I could a week ago. My legs are a little sore, but not as sore as they were a few days ago and even that wasn't bad. After a good stretch, I don't feel it much.

I feel like my posture is better, but that could be totally psychological lol. I feel like I am sleeping better at night also, like I am not as uncomfortable.

I bought the Slim in 6 series a long time ago--I want to say maybe 7 or 8 years ago (maybe longer). I lost the directions, or whatever came with it, that told me when to go to the next phase. I hope I know when to do it. There are 3 phases, or that's what I have, so maybe I will do each phase for 2 weeks, since it is a 6 weeks series. After this, I will do The Biggest Loser Workout for 6 weeks.

I can do this. I am a star :).

Have you looked into Stroller Fit classes or purchasing a jogging stroller? (You can get one off Craigslist for $50 - I don't know how big a child they hold though.) I don't have kids, but I've heard that running/walking with a jogging stroller can help put the kid to sleep, so you get your workout and he gets his nap, maybe?

Hi Ellie,

I currently have one of those little off road strollers (I don't know if that's what it's called but that's what we do with it lol). I don't currently have a jogging stroller, but plan to get one. A friend of mine in Vegas uses one, and loves it! She has a jogging club and runs with other mothers. This sounds like a lot of fun and I hope to join her someday.

I plan to do this in the spring, when I have some strength in my legs, and it's warmer outside (probably after we move).

I am going to assume that as Logan gets older, he will be refusing to take his nap more often, so I will definitely use your suggestion when he acts up. I will have to bust out my heart rate monitor, so that I can make sure I am getting a work out. The monitor will put me into "workout mode" and probably make me walk a lot faster (it's like a challenge with the numbers lol).

Thank you for the suggestion! :)

i just found your blog thanks to stephanie over at 365 days of crockpotting. I was going to recommend the biggest loser workout. that one really kicked my butt! it is good you'll be starting it second so you'll have already gotten rid of all the aches and pains by then. good luck! your blog is a real inspiration. just reading your first two weeks, i want to go hop on my exercise bike and go for a ride!

i love the biggest loser workouts.

you're a real inspiration...this is such a great idea! and it makes me want to stop reading blogs on my laptop and go work out instead!

Thanks for reading my blog and for your comments bluefem44. I really like The Biggest Loser Workout too, although I have a love/hate relationship with it. I hate jumping jacks but Bob really makes me laugh. Take a bike ride for me and have fun! :)
