I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I bought a new HR monitor at Costco for around $30 (a month or 2 ago??). It's a lot different from my old HR monitor. It actually makes my old one look archaic. My old monitor had 1 button. You pushed it to turn it on, pushed it again when you were finished to get your average HR for that bout of exercise, and then it would turn itself off. if you wanted to see that info again, you would press and hold that button. That was it. It was simple and I miss it lol. My new HR monitor has 3 buttons and 3 booklets that came with it lol. I just use the basic functions that I have been able to figure out pretty easily so far--the clock and i can push the little orange button, and it will find my HR and put it above the time. I push that button again, and it fills the screen (I'm a 1 button kinda gal lol). I haven't figured any of the other features out yet lol. I will try to after we move when I (hopefully) have more time.
I mentioned my HR monitor because I have been using it a lot lately. Today I went for a 90 minute walk with Logan, and my HR stayed steadily between 120-125 BPM. Not bad for just walking! (it's 65-69 as I type this now).
I say all of this, because seeing that my HR was in my target zone for 90 minutes (I'm in my 30's), I might just consider this my exercise for today. I thought about making it a (non)rest day and this might be perfect. I still have a lot of packing to do, and would like to focus on that.
If I get a second wind, I might do the 20 minute workout (Turbo Jam) w/out the gloves (maybe lol). If I do, I will post an update.
Hope everyone is having a good day! I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday (my hubby's birthday). Have a great workout!
I can do this. I am a star.

I did the Turbo Jam 20 minute workout this morning! I felt a little silly but once I got into it, it was fun! I think I'll get better as I go.
I have a HR monitor that I bought a few years ago for running. I should pull it out and start using it again, because I heard it's an excellent way to train!
Ooh I'm so glad you tried it and thought it was fun! You will definitely get better as you go, and it gets funner too! I felt silly too, but now it's just fun!
I used to obsessively wear my HR monitor when I was a gym rat and into training years ago. I used it next to the RPE scale (10 scale, not the 20) to know when I needed to increase my intensity (I used to obsessively document my workouts too. Yikes! i think i have an obsessive personality! lol).
I <3 turbo jam! :)
