I just wanted to start off this blog entry by saying if anyone out there has a sparkpeople.com account, and you would like to add me as a friend, please feel free to do so! My username is:

I didn't know until recently that you couldn't have spark-buddies until you had a profile. If you had searched for me before, it would have said that I didn't exist on sparkpeople lol. I finally have a profile now (after like 4 months lol), so now I can have spark buddies! I find the site and all of the people that I have met on it, to be extremely motivational and inspiring. We are all in this together, and that rocks!
Anyway, this morning we were woken up pretty early by ghetto birds circling just above the house, and it ended up being a horrible car accident not far from our back yard. A police officer died and the driver in the other vehicle is in the hospital (please take a moment to pray for all people affected by this accident). I have been up for a while, so I did my thing, as usual. It's surreal because it's really quiet right now--they closed off Flamingo where this happened (a larger vein in Vegas just on the other side of our backyard wall)--it's usually buzzing with traffic, but now all we hear are helicopters.
I did Turbo Jam's 20 minute workout and Ab Jam. I decided that when I do this combo, I am going to count it as 30 mins cardio and 10 mins ab work, because Ab Jam is 10 minutes standing ab work (low intensity cardio) and then 10 minutes floor ab work.
I hope everyone has a great day! Count your blessings--we never know what's around the bend (or beyond the fence). Make today count whatever you do!
I can do this. I am a star.

How sad--I always say a quick prayer when an ambulance races by--you'd want one yourself if it was heading to your house or your car. (I did wonder, however, just how many of your readers knew what "ghetto birds" were.)
I think I know what ghetto birds are. BTW, what happened with the job interview a week or so ago? Any word?
Ghetto bird has been apart of my vocab for as long as I can remember, so I didn't even stop to think that someone wouldn't know what it was. Sorry! Ghetto birds are a colorful expression a lot of people here (in vegas) call police helicopters--because you see them circling the ghetto areas. Extremely stereotypical, I know, and maybe a little insensitive (?), and I apologize for using it.
As for the interview, I don't know how well it went as they went off of a script to ask questions. I think it went well. They seemed impressed with my typing speed and said being a CNA and having that experience could help with the position as well. They couldn't tell me if it would be night shift or day shift, but they go from an employee pool, so as a newbie, I would probably be working 7pm-7am or something similar to that. They said it would take 3 weeks to hear from anything, so I am just waiting patiently. He said I would hear back from someone either way :). I'll definitely let you guys know if I hear something, either way! :)
I friended you on SparkPeople - I'm Rozie13 there. Don't you love the internet? :)
Oh, I have to ask you two questions. 1, the back of my DVD says AbJam is 40 minutes - but you call it 20 minutes? Or I misread you?
2, does the back of your DVD box (the 5 workout one) have two major typos (and some other small ones) like the website is 'www.beachbody.com/turobjam' and at the bottom 'visit Beachody.com' ?? I got mine on eBa, and the print looks a little like it may have come off someone's printer, you know?
hi miriam :)the back of my dvd box says that ab jam is, "approx. 20 min." It's 10 minutes standing, and 10 minutes floor work. Above Ab Jam is Cardio party and that says "aprox. 45 min." I don't see a link anywhere on my box for turbo jam and I don't see any typos either. The only links I see are for MillionDollarBody.com (spelled like that), and it says to go there to contact your coach. it also says for customer service to call the 800 number provided, or "go to Beachbody.com" no typo there, either. I don't know *shrugs*. Hope this help! I can take a picture of it, if you would rather see it for yourself. Let me know! it won't be any drama, and I can email it to you :) (if your email addy is on your blogger profile page).
Thanks Melissa! Nope, I think that confirms it, it's either pirated or made for export somewhere - or it was cheaper because of all the typos, I dunno. No matter - the guy who sold it on eBay did something wrong, not me! And thank God the DVD's still work, or I'd be annoyed...
