I am definitely getting sick again :(. I wonder if it may be from over training--I read somewhere that getting sick and being tired a lot could be a sign (my FIL was also recently sick, so it could be his fault too lol muahaha). Anyway with that in mind, I tried to take it easy today--but didn't, but it wasn't my fault lol. My intentions were good. I swear.
A bad rake + a yard with a ton of pine needles/dead grass = awesome workout (the baking sun probably helps too). lol. I went out there at 11:07 am and came back in at 12noon (53 minutes of raking isn't bad stuff!).
I had no idea that I would have worked that hard. The only thing I can compare it to is splitting wood--it felt a lot like that. I wore gardening gloves, but I still got blisters in between the webbing of my thumb and index fingers--on both hands. They really sting but I'll get over it :).
Although I'm getting sick, I'd like to believe that hard work is good for a cold. Feed a fever, work a cold. lol. wait. that's how I probably got into this mess to begin with! Oh well, I'll take it easy for the rest of the day. We were considering going over to the pound to get a dog, but then my mother kindly (not so much) pointed out all of the monthly expenses that goes into having a dog, and the lack of independence we will have bla-bla-bla, and that we won't be able to afford it so, that idea is ixnayed.
Hope you all have a great Sunday! See you all tomorrow :)
I can do this. I am a star.

Dogs are a huge amount of work -- seriously. A toddler and a new home are enough for any human being! Drink tons of water and feel better!
I find it sometimes helps to "sweat out" a cold. You have to be careful though - its okay to exercise a lot when you are only feeling really crappy (stomachache, muscle soreness, low fever), but when you have respiratory stuff going on (coughing, wheezing, etc.) you want to take it easy. Try just doing a 20-40 minute yoga workout (exercisetv has a bunch that you can stream) and taking it easy - no heavy cardio.
Usually exercise increases your immune system, and honestly, I do not think you are overtraining - I think exercising 2-4 hours a day, and never taking it easy is overtraining. You haven't been exercising more than 90 minutes at a time. Be careful though, because sometimes exercise does lower your immune system temporarily (for an hour or two) so avoid going out or seeing a lot of people immediately after you work out because you will be more likely to pick up germs.
I think if you get sick again, or this cold gets worse, you should definitely go see a doctor.
Thanks Erin. My hubby fell in love with "cammo" (oh who am I kidding? so did i!) this puppy that was dachshund mixed with something that made her spotted. We went down there and she was adopted right away (we didn't even get to see her in person). I think the concept is nice to get a dog, just because we can, but we probably wont :)...at least not for a while.
Thanks Ellie. I think I caught this from my FIL--it's definitely more likely :). I was kind of joking around (at least in my own mind--like an inside joke to myself) with the over training. I laughed out loud when I typed it only because when I was fit and a gym rat, I used to over train a lot--and you're right--it's because I spent, on average, 3-4 hours at the gym, everyday (no less than 6 days a week). My former self would have laughed at my current self for the amount of daily "exercise" that I do. The gym is an old addiction of mine, and I don't want to ever go to that place again (I was not a nice person!).
I really hope I don't get sick again, or that this gets worse, because going to the doctor isn't an option, unless I end up in the hospital! The money we have saved for emergency doctor trips is for Logan only (unless one of us takes out an eye, or chops off a finger or something--and even then I'm handy with a needle and thread lol). We don't have insurance or the $$ for any overpriced doctors/clinics here to tell me to "rest and drink plenty of water" lol. Thank you for your concern Ellie :). You're a sweetheart for caring :).
