Today was a long day at work (13.5 hours!). I stayed an hour late and completed an ICare class that was required. I'm glad I got that over and done with.
It was extremely busy on the floor today. I got to transfer/discharge at least 4 patients, and admit a few (which isn't so physical, but just time consuming), so I got a good leg workout. I also took the stairs again, like always. I am noticing that I am able to make them up to the top, just a little faster each time.
I am noticing so many opportunities throughout my day to do things, like squats and lunges. When the day is almost done, I have to collect I/O (input/output) sheets, and sometimes I have to be close to the ground to gather some of the information for those sheets, so I can do squats then. It works dually, because it saves my back, and works my legs at the same time.
Sweet.
Well, back to my "regular" routine tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be hot, and the Monkey Boy will let me take him for a long walk.
Hope you made it count! There are so many ways in which to do so!
I can do this. I am a star.
