I am really making an effort to blog/exercise early. It's not before 2pm, but we have been pretty busy all day. At least I'm blogging at 3:30pm. When I said "before 2pm" on my day off, I know it's something I am going to have to strive for, rather than a "no sugar or soda" or "exercise everyday" type thing. The fact that I am here now, is progress lol.
I just did 30 Wii Fit minutes. My plan was to do more but the hubby is barking at me because we have more errands to run. I will get back on and finish what I started when we get home from the store and my mother's house. I also want to get on the treadmill.
So far so good on the no sugar/soda thing. Soda really isn't a problem for me, so it's kind of a freebie (?). It doesn't bother me like sugar, but it's a good thing to cut out nonetheless. We even went out for breakfast and my first reaction was to order "the same" as my hubby (diet soda) but I remembered and ordered an iced tea instead. Not my fav, but I used some Splenda and a lemon and it was tolerable (lol). I also had whole grain whole wheat pancakes w/ sugar free syrup, turkey bacon and egg whites.
My plan is to lose more weight this year, than I did last, so I am motivated.
I'll update later with what else I do.
Have a great Saturday! Make it count and don't give up on your goals! Just adjust them to make them "doable" and build from there :).
I can do this. I am a star.

I am officially (and finally) delurking! Hi sweet Melissa, I am Jess. I wanted to tell you I am totally inspired by you and check your blog all the time. I am so proud of you for completeing the year! Now that I think of it I may have posted once or twice before, it has been a whole year so i am not sure.
I have a lot of things in common with you (I am a mom, shift worker-nurse, I gained some weight from being on medication, etc) and am totally impressed with your resolve. It has encouraged me to keep exercise on my radar this year! Anyway, just wanted to say HI! and congrats! I was wondering if you would talk a bit about calorie cycling and your diet as eating well is hard for me. All the best!
Just found your blog and gotta say what an amazing change! You look so much happier now! And you look amazing! Keep up the awesome job and I can't wait to follow on your journey!
PS
I love what you said about not giving up on your goals and just adjust them so they're 'doable'. The the number one rule I try to tell everyone!
Thank you so much for your support Jess! I don't have much to share with the calorie cycling because I haven't been doing it correctly or consciously. In theory I should be eating like 200-300 more calories on my workday, because I am burning a lot more calories, and less on my off days. In reality I eat less on my work days (sometimes up to 400 calories less) and more on my day off. It's just because food is more readily available when I am off. I can't just leave the floor and neglect a whole slew of priorities determined by time to go eat. You know how it is :). I am still interested in it, so if I learn anything, I'll definitely let you know. Thanks again :).
Thank you Annie! You look amazing too and have accomplished so much! Thanks for the inspiration! You're awesome! :)
