Turbo Jam 20 minute workout with baby M strapped to my chest!
Today, despite my excessive lack of sleep, I had a stroke of genius! Oh my gosh, why didn't I think of this before?!? I strapped Mr. Baby to my chest and did turbo jam!
My first son is almost 5 so we didn't have much saved when we had this baby. We kept our baby monitor, wipe warmer (although we ended up
buying another), my breast pump (which recently just broke! *cry*) and...wait for it...my baby chest carrier thingy. It's like a baby bjorn but generic and more strappy. I can have baby toward me (has better neck support), or turn him around to see the world when he gets older/stronger. Awesome!!!
I did his breathing treatment, fed him and then strapped him in for a test drive.
At first he didn't like it, just walking around. He turns into a crack baby on this breathing treatment--super fussy and shaky (it's a little scary as his mama but I guess a normal side effect of this drug) so he really wasn't diggin' being strapped in. As soon as I started bouncing around and dancing (TJ is very dancy!) he went super quiet. I turned the music up loud and just had fun with it. I think he loved it. I loved it (that's all that matters, right? lol).
Anyway, fussy crack baby M fell asleep! bouncing all over the place to TJ! I can't believe it. Maybe this is what I need to do at 2 am when he won't sleep (lol I'm SO just kidding, but it might be worth a try someday lol). In fact, he's still strapped in as I type this, sleeping great--in a deep sleep, not the little flitty eye dreamer sleep he does sometimes where he is 1/2 asleep but kinda not (you mom's know what I'm talking about!).
Anyway I'm proud of myself. I did it, sleep deprived and all--of course with His strength.
Gotta love His strength, especially when it's needed the most.
All things in Christ who gives me strength!
